Treatment procedure
Before an acupuncture treatment, the patient lies on a massage table in a comfortable position. You may feel a slight sensation when the fine, very thin needles are applied, but this will quickly dissipate. If the needle is pricked a little deeper or is slightly stimulated, a dull, pulling sensation or a sensation of warmth of varying intensity will be felt. This sensation, called "De-Qi" by the Chinese, is a decisive factor in a success TCM therapy.
